We provide a seamless and cost-effective process from 'Day 1' for the
management of 'difficult cases' based on trigger points and referral from managers.
Our front end process from 'Day 1' ensures that no employee falls between the cracks and
that our Case Managers can intervene early in a difficult case. In order to respond
speedily to any referral and keep costs down, all Case Management is delivered via the telephone by qualified
occupational health professionals with expertise in areas such as mental
health and musculoskeletal disorders.
The Case Management process starts with a detailed medical history phone
call. Following this call, the Case Manager will assess the employee's
ability to perform their work duties, prepare a rehabilitation programme
(where appropriate) and send an initial report to the relevant manager or HR.
This report will summarise the case, provide a fitness for work assessment
and list any recommendations to expedite a return to work. Depending on the
case we will seek appropriate medical reports (either from GP or from our
network of specialists) and coordinate any treatment agreed. We have access
to a UK-wide network of specialists, including Occupational Health Physicians,
physiotherapists and counsellors. We
maintain contact with both the employee and relevant manager or HR throughout the case.
Our operating principal is based on a quick turn-around of cases and conclusive reports to clients. |
